Provo is a Winter Wonderland!!!!!

... but not in a good way.
The forecast for the next two days predicts
snow, and I've rarely been so scared in my life.
Hey, Utah! Are you aware that it is not even November yet?
And also, it's still going to be 90 degrees in AZ this week.
Just saying.
Remind me why I moved here?

I'm pretty sure that the first time it snows, I am running to my room and bawling my eyes out.
I wasn't bred for this.

a lesson in history

So the other day I was doing homework, and I began to think...
Want to know something that is completely random?
Mount Rushmore.
Why did they make it?
Why is it in the middle of nowhere?
It is huge, utterly pointless, and must have been expensive to make.
Couldn't they have found a flat mountain somewhere to carve it on, so that all of the presidents could at least be looking the same way?
I don't understand.

Sometimes, I think that I think too much.

p.s. in case you were wondering, Mount Rushmore was carved by Gutzon Borglum and his son, Lincoln, in South Dakota, in order to bring more tourism to the area.
That's probably the last thing I would do to encourage tourism, but more power to them.

Bleedin' Blue

Last week at BYU was
homecoming week!
(which in college is actually fun!)
I've never felt so school spirited in my life.
Tuesday night, we went to "hike and light the Y".
So basically, we hiked to the Y on the mountain and were there when it lit up

(I actually screwed in one of the lightbulbs!)

Thursday, we went to True Blue Football!
Imagine tons of blue foam, slip-n-slides, volleyball, etc.
BYU rocks.
one of my contacts even got dyed:]
Friday, I went a super fun date laser tagging, and guess what?
I wasn't terrible at it!!
I got 4th out of 12!
Top girl and beat three boys:]
This may not seem like a big deal to you, but considering the first time I went laser tagging, I got about -10000 points, it means a lot to me!!
Saturday, we went to Homecoming...
paint party edition!
(I guess this is what happens when you let a boy do your face paint)
Other fun happenings:
Girls night with cute coats!
water balloons... enough said.
General Conference with the big brother...
this is the one picture we took.
I think its pretty descriptive of us.
 "Horses for healing"
We get to go play with horses and special needs kids!
We love it.
Except for the shoveling poop, cleaning stalls, and other heavy labor.
It wasn't really what we expected, but what is?

PS.  It's cold here.
There's already snow on the mountain peaks.
Booooo.

Auntie Taylor

Yes, that's right.
I am officially an aunt now!!!
Yesterday, my sister had her first baby boy,
Weston Jones Blaser!
(born 10/4 at 10:15 am, 7 lbs 4 oz, 21 inches)
I am really, really excited.
And I feel old.
Weston right after his birth...

More pictures are sure to come soon.
