a lesson in history

So the other day I was doing homework, and I began to think...
Want to know something that is completely random?
Mount Rushmore.
Why did they make it?
Why is it in the middle of nowhere?
It is huge, utterly pointless, and must have been expensive to make.
Couldn't they have found a flat mountain somewhere to carve it on, so that all of the presidents could at least be looking the same way?
I don't understand.

Sometimes, I think that I think too much.

p.s. in case you were wondering, Mount Rushmore was carved by Gutzon Borglum and his son, Lincoln, in South Dakota, in order to bring more tourism to the area.
That's probably the last thing I would do to encourage tourism, but more power to them.

Haha! This made me laugh out loud. That is TOTALLY something I would do. My mind starts to wander and i come up with some pretty random thoughts. Brett tells me I think too much too. Must be genetic. :)

BTW, if being an aunt makes you feel old, just think how old being a mom makes me feel. CRAZY!!
