i will miss it.
last wednesday night was our last night there, and we decided to leave a little scavenger hunt hidden around our room for the next people that live there.
(we will send them a letter telling them where the first clue is.) 
this very blog post is part of the scavenger hunt-- we wrote the url for it on the clue.


to the future occupants of 1108:

here are the pictures.  the people who lived in 1108 before us were our friends stephanie and mccall, and this is the picture they took there the last week they lived in it:

we worked very hard to re-create this picture on our last night there. here's our interpretation:

sorry we both kinda look like major creeps. (i promise we're not.)
hopefully, one of you has blonde curly hair and the other has straight burnette hair so you can re-create this too!

look in places similar to the last clue- you may have to get down and dirty again.

april showers, may flowers, and being done with finals!

despite the damp sidewalks and shallow puddles, even the plants seemed happy as i walked back to my dorm today.  the flowers {yellows, oranges, pinks, and whites} which cover the trees here shined brighter than normal against the darkened sky of a rainy monday, and they cheered for me, and with me.  

have i ever mentioned how beautiful the spring flowers are?

they cheered because i'm done, done, done with my finals, and i was making my last walk back from the testing center.  they cheered for me because i finished early, and i may have even gotten an a in physics.  they were loving the fact that my hair was curled, my mascara fresh, and my clothes summery, even during a dismal finals week. they were jealous of the fact that soon i'll be back in arizona, where even the rainy mondays are warm, and every tree has leaves.  they cheered for my flip flops, bright cardigan, and happy face amongst all the somber college students i passed.

i cheered too.

on another thought, this post needed a picture.  this is in the hall of mirrors in the palace of versailles near paris, france.
the first thing we did?  take a "myspace" picture in the mirror.

spring fe·ver

its official, guys.
i have diagnosed myself with spring fever.
and i've got it bad.

all i can think about is being back in warm, sunny AZ, getting tan, and leaving the snow.
{seriously, utah, i'm getting really sick of freak snowstorms in april.}
luckily, i have 2 more finals and then i'm done for the year!



in other fascinating news, i've decided that i have a favorite hairdo updo for the season.
i like to call it the "messy bun on top of my head with natural curls."  i know i'm not very original, but i'm pretty sure ive perfected it.

ta-da!


the best part? it takes about 2 mins (if that) to do and stays perfect allll day.
woo-hoo for low maintenance hair!

california dreaming!

in case you didnt guess by my last post, me & some friends took a little weekend trip to california last weekend.
it was so much fun...
& a nice "last hoorah" before the end of the year.
(especially since i'm not coming back to byu next year)

the only problem?

now, i have to try & focus on finals.

so everyone knows that college students = poor.
in order to remedy this problem, my roomie angela and i have decided to do what any desperate, poor person would do... sell our bodies.

i know this may sound harsh and sad, but it seems like our only option.
so, today we are headed to sell plasma...
gotcha!;]
(they take your blood out, filter it for the plasma, and put it back in)

i'm kind of very scared, and i've heard it might really hurt, so wish us luck!


on a side note, i just found this picture on this blog, and i love it.
it just makes me so happy and miss my little homey arizona so much:]

awkward turtle

you know what i realized?
sometimes i am kind of an awkward person.
mainly just when i receive a compliment.
it usually goes something like this:

Random Person: "Hey, you look really cute today!"

Me: *makes an ugly face to counter the compliment*

Random Person: *awkward laugh*...

-or-

Random Person: "I really like that shirt!"

Me:  "Uh... er.... thanks....... i like yours too?"

Random Person: "Ya...."

-or-

Random Person: "I love your hair!"

Me: "Oh, really?  Thanks, I guess... I actually just rolled out of bed and hardly touched it...." (or divulges too much information in another way)

Random Person: "Oh... nevermind then?"

Both: *awkward laughter*

ya. super awkward right?
its just the only way to describe it.
so anyway, if anyone has great advice for me on how to take a compliment, let me know.
